VERY IMPORTANT WHEN REGISTERING FUTSAL LEAGUE TEAMS IN PLAYMETRICS:

First of all, if you have a Futsal team, only ONE person from the team creates the team in Playmetrics registration. When you click into the Playmetrics registration for Futsal league, the button to register a team is microscopic in the upper right-hand of the page. It says "CREATE TEAMS". Click that and proceed. Share the team code with your other team members so they can input that code when registering in Playmetrics. Please, please, please DO NOT REGISTER YOUR TEAM AS A FREE AGENT. Free agent feature is ONLY for players not in communication with a team. See attached screenshot (note very small link for team creation... ugh):

Winter Futsal League

The Zootown Futsal League is an 8 week season (January-March) for 2006-2015 aged girls and boys. Games will be held on Sundays (1 game a day) with the chance of 1-2 Saturday games from 4-9pm at Zootown Volleyball River Building (map below). Futsal is a 5v5 format (4 field players, 1 goalkeeper). The recommended team roster size is 7-10 players.

The league allows players/parents to form their own team and register independently. 2010-2015 teams may choose their own coach; high school teams can be self-coached (no coach necessary). A referee will be assigned to officiate each game.

If you are unable to find a team of your own, players may register individually as a free agent. The league manager will then assign you to an appropriate level team that is able to accommodate numbers.

Registration Information

For registering teams, follow this helpful checklist:

1. Gather players and form team.

2. Collect funds that add up to $550.

3. Nominate one responsible adult to go into Playmetrics to CREATE THE TEAM in the registration link.

4. That responsible adult will share the team code with other members who then will use that code to add themselves to the team when they register.

5. Voila, you have now registered a Futsal League Team.

6. Await more communication from Chris Essman.

Make sure you register your team as a team and not as a free agent... big messes ahead if we do that.

Teams may register for an older age group if they choose, but teams cannot register for a younger division. If a team has 1-2 players who are of an older age than the age group division, you must contact Chris Essman at chris.essman@strikersfcmt.org for exception approval; otherwise that team will need to participate in the older division. Teams with girls may register for boys’ divisions but teams with boys cannot play in the girls’ division. If the league manager needs to adjust a team’s division, he will consult with the individual team(s). If the league manager is not able to schedule a division or an individual team appropriately, the team(s) will receive a full refund.

The max number of teams for each division is 6 teams. Teams that register after the 6th team will be waitlisted. Registration approval from the waitlist will depend on any remaining court space available.
